Nel mese di agosto 2005 ho terminato la mia "stanza del treno".
Non volendo vincolarmi ad una struttura fissa ho pensato ad uno spazio adatto sia per montaggi provvisori con binario C per sperimentare nuovi circuiti, che per l'appoggio dei moduli del plastico che sto costruendo.
I piani di lavoro misurano 61 cm di profondità e si sviluppano sul perimetro della stanza che misura 4,5 x 3,5 metri. Nei mobili c'è ampio spazio per tutti i modelli e i binari. Finalmente ho potuto togliere dalle scatole grige tutta la collezione e posso agevolmente provare tutte le loco quando voglio.

My requirements were these:

1) have a large and sheltered space for all my trains and related materials

2) get out from the box my models and view them in a showcase

3) have the easy and fast possibility to run them on the layout

4) have a space where to work on the models, assembly scenery kits or read magazines and catalogs

5) have the space to create my table layouts, experimenting new solutions and reproducing real stations plans with my C tracks

6) have the space where to put on my modules and dioramas

7) Have the possibility to use my favourite bend tracks 24912 radius 1114,6 mm. and wide radius turnous

So, after a detailed planning, I begun restoring ceiling, painting the walls and flooring the oak parquet, after that I have assenbled the furniture bought in a Ikea shop.

Under the wall cupboards I have installed a lot of 12V - 20W alogen lights, while in the showcases there are some slim neon Osram "picoline".

In three drawers I put the C tracks and in the others the freights and passenger coachs

Now I am very happy and sure that I'll never be bored in future. In these days I am running Swiss trains in large station and two big freight yards.

The next layout will be an old KBay layouts with 3 small stations and the next.... I am planning...
